Yesterday was my youngest daughter's Sweet Sixteen birthday... take a trip back with me.
The most important things in your life are friends and music (not necessarily in that order).
The thing you are most worried about is whether or not you'll pass your driving test and get your license so you can hang out with and listen to said friends and music.
You're at that awkward in-between where you're no longer really a child, yet you're not ready yet to take on the responsibilities of adulthood, even though you spend the majority of the time trying to convince everyone you are.
You do everything you can to not have to deal with "mom" because it's not cool, but when things all go wrong and the world sucks, that's exactly who you want.
